DutchDFA@DesignYatra

The activities organised by DutchDFA aim to strengthen and extend the Dutch presence at Design Yatra. This includes inviting influential Dutch speakers on both design and architecture.

DesignYatra is also the premiere of the Dutch Profiles, a series of ultimately 100 portaits of Dutch designers, fashion designers and architects that together form a presentation of what Dutch design, fashion and architecture actually stands for.

The architectural contribution by Ole Bouman of NAi Dutch Architecture institute to the Indian magazine "Architecture and Design" has lead to an introduction of also Dutch fashion and design in the magazins special on the Netherlands.

In intercultural workshops Indian and Dutch designers work together on producing a concrete product, assisted by Willem Woudenberg (edenspiekermann) and Frans Lintmeijer.

In a conference on urgent cultural issues in India, DutchDFA will start a dialogue between design cultures  that will continue in years to come. All activities are promoted in a sound communications campaign, in both the Netherlands and in India. India is one of three focus countries of DutchDFA.
