On November 7th Maurer United Architects (MUA) gives a workshop in the NAI, where the focus will be on the bottom-up and cross-over attitude of Marc Maurer and Nicole Maurer.

On November 12 MUA will show a presentation about their principles during the Glow - International Forum of Light in Art and Architecture festival in Eindhoven.

Baltan Laboratories

Marc Maurer: "Media technology plays an increasing role in the design of the built environment. A full reconciliation between media and construction technology is a challenge for the current architecture practice. From this position, Maurer United Architects (MUA) initiated - at the invitation of the Municipality of Eindhoven in 2008-  a new media lab with Geert Mul and Telcosystems: Baltan Laboratories.
 
Baltan Laboratories initiates, supports and disseminates innovative research and progressive activities in the fields of art, technology and culture. A two-year pilot initiative located in the SWA building in Strijp S in Eindhoven, Baltan Laboratories is a first step towards a broader Art Science Lab in the former NatLab (Philips physics laboratory).
